Everything you need to know about using MediaEveryone.
General
- Do I need to create an account? — No. All tools work without an account. Register only if you want to save preferences or access your history.
- Is MediaEveryone free? — Yes, completely free. No credit card, no subscription, no hidden fees.
- Are my images uploaded to a server? — No. All processing happens locally in your browser using the Canvas API. Your images never leave your device.
- What browsers are supported? — Any modern browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge. We recommend keeping your browser up to date.
Image Converter
- Which formats are supported? — PNG, JPG/JPEG, WebP, GIF and BMP. Drop multiple files at once for batch conversion.
- Will converting to JPG reduce quality? — Use the quality slider to control the trade-off. 80–90% is usually indistinguishable from the original.
- Why does converting PNG to JPG add a white background? — JPG does not support transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white. Use PNG or WebP to preserve transparency.
Image Compressor
- How much can I compress? — Typically 40–90% reduction depending on format and content. WebP usually achieves the best results.
- Is there a file size limit? — 20 MB per image by default.
Image Resizer
- How do I keep the aspect ratio? — Check the "Lock aspect ratio" box in Pixel mode. Changing one dimension automatically updates the other.
- What presets are available? — Social Square (1080×1080), Twitter Header, YouTube Thumbnail, Facebook Cover, Instagram Story, LinkedIn Banner, A4, HD, 4K and Favicon.
Crop Image
- How do I crop to a fixed ratio? — Click one of the ratio buttons (1:1, 16:9, 4:3 etc.) before or after loading your image.
- Can I rotate inside the cropper? — Yes, use the Rotate L / Rotate R buttons in the crop toolbar.
Watermark Adder
- Can I drag the watermark to where I want it? — Yes. After your image loads, drag the watermark directly on the preview canvas to position it anywhere.
- What image formats work for image watermarks? — PNG with transparency works best. WebP and SVG are also supported.
